Dear Buckeye Central Elementary Families,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! We are excited to bring students back on Wednesday, August 18. We are hopeful this year will feel more like a ‘normal’ year- similar to the pre-pandemic era! At this point in time, masks will be optional and we will continue to work to space students a minimum of 3 feet apart; we will again work closely with the Crawford County Health Department as the year progresses and will adjust our plans as necessary to keep our students’ safe!
I am excited to join the BC Bucks team as the new elementary principal! This will be my 16th year as a building administrator and my 21st year in education. I am looking forward to learning each child’s name and watching them learn and grow in the classroom!
We will be opening the new parking area/entrance to the Early Childhood Center this year, which is going to allow us to improve our parking lot access for preschool and kindergarten families. A map of the lot will be sent home before the year begins to help explain the changes. The kindergarten and preschool families who drop-off and pick-up will be using the new entrance/parking lot at the Early Childhood Center.
We have received grant funding that will offer all our students a free lunch and breakfast this year. Your child may drop off supplies to his/her new classroom during open house, which is slated for Monday, Aug. 16 between 6:00-7:30pm.
I look forward to meeting you and beginning to partner in education with you this year! Be sure to follow us on Facebook & Instagram!
