Jennifer Moore
Middle School Principal

Second Semester!

As the new year approached and winter break began, I took a moment to reflect on the past six months in this position. It has been a whirlwind of experiences and I have learned from them all. It has been a pleasure getting to know the middle school staff and students of Buckeye Central. They are an amazing group of individuals. It is inspiring to watch them engage with each other in class and see the connections being made between the teachers and the students. They are growing in so many ways and I am honored to be able to watch their transformation.

My goals for the year are to continue to uphold the middle school values of being caring and compassionate, having a strong sense of community and a commitment to excellence.

We have recognized kindness during the months of November and December, we are implementing SEL lessons each Friday for the remainder of the school year and participating in the day-long Discover U session to help foster a family feel between staff and students. I am excited to see how these will help grow our district and bond students.

We have been lucky enough to add a social worker to the middle school. Mrs. Collene is an added extra support for the students and staff and is a wonderful resource and addition.

As the year progresses, I urge parents and community members to take an active role in our school. Some of the ways you can do this are to continue to support the athletics and arts we offer, be part of parent teacher conferences (February 10th and March 10th), call in and volunteer to help in classrooms and partner with your student to help them be successful academically. We welcome the opportunity to work with you.

Even though the ramifications of COVID are still being felt, great things are taking place. The students and staff are working through the road bumps and making great strides in education. As always, please contact me with your suggestions, questions, or concerns. You can call the Middle School office at

419-492-1035  or email me at jmoore@bcbucks.org.
